The Village of Lake Villa is pleased to offer its residents and small businesses the opportunity to take advantage of lower electricity rates from MC Squared Energy Services (mc2). The lower mc2 electricity rates will mean significant savings on electricity bills for eligible Lake Villa residents and small businesses.

Residential Customers

Calculate your savings today! The new mc2 electricity supply rate will yield between 39% and 51% savings off the ComEd residential electricity supply rate, saving the average Lake Villa resident hundreds of dollars annually.1 Your individual savings will vary based on the comparable ComEd tariff rate and your household's electrical usage.

mc2 Electricity Rate

4.282cents per kWh

A fixed electric supply price, measured in cents per kWh. It will begin at the next meter read date after ComEd processes your enrollment and continue until the meter read date in September 2013.

ComEd Standard BES Rate:
7.432 cents per kWh (June – Sept. 2012)
8.820 cents per kWh (Oct. – May 2013)
ComEd Electric Space Heat Rate:
7.138 cents per kWh (June – Sept. 2012)
6.970 cents per kWh (Oct. – May 2013)

ComEd Basic Electric Service rate in effect for June 20, 2012, including the Purchased Electricity Supply Charge, Transmission Services Charge, and the June 2012 Purchased Electricity Adjustment Charge.

Small Business Customers

The new mc2 electricity supply rate will yield between 43% and 52% savings off the ComEd electricity supply rate. Your individual savings will vary based on the comparable ComEd tariff rate and the electrical usage of your business.1

mc2 Electricity Rate

4.282cents per kWh

A fixed electric supply price, measured in cents per kWh, available to small business customers that consume 15,000 kWh or less annually. It will begin at the next meter read date after ComEd processes your enrollment and continue until the meter read date in September 2013.

7.564 cents per kWh (June – Sept. 2012)
9.015 cents per kWh (Oct. – May 2013)
ComEd Com. Demand (0-100 kW) Rate:
7.521 cents per kWh (June – Sept. 2012)
8.974 cents per kWh (Oct. – May 2013)
