Residents of the Village of Lake Villa and the Lake Villa Township approved a referendum authorizing community leaders to buy electricity in bulk from a supplier other than ComEd. After an extensive bidding process, MC Squared Energy Services, LLC (mc²) was selected to provide electricity supply services to Village and Township residents and small businesses.
Eligible residents and small businesses in the Village or Township of Lake Villa will experience lower electricity rates through May 2014. Lake Villa residents are expected to save up to 9% on the supply portion of their electricity bills.¹ If you live in the Village or Township of Lake Villa click here for more information.
¹ Savings estimates are based on a comparison of the mc² rate to the comparable summer/non-summer ComEd Basic Electric Service rate in effect June 2013, including the Purchased Electricity Supply Charge, Transmission Services Charge and the July 2013 Purchased Electricity Adjustment Charge (PEA ) of 0.321 cents per kWh. The ComEd PEA can vary monthly; reference Illinois Commerce Commission “Price to Compare” at www.pluginillinois.org
